Dr. Kirk D. Williams Otolaryngology / Head & Neck Surgery is a Board Certified Ear, Nose & Throat/Head & Neck Surgery Specialist.

After finishing medical school at Howard University and an internship in general surgery at Howard University Hospital, Dr. Williams completed his residency training in Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery at Georgetown University Hospital.

He then established a private medical practice in Charlotte, North Carolina for a number of years before returning to Washington to serve for four years as Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology/ Head & Neck Surgery in the Department of Surgery at Howard University Hospital.

In 2005, Dr. Williams returned to private practice, establishing a thriving general Otolaryngology  practice based at Providence Hospital. In 2008 and 2010 he was named one of Washingtonian Magazine’s top doctors in Otolaryngology in the Washington, D.C. area; an acknowledgement for which he was selected by his peers.

Dr. Williams is also a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

He primarily practices at Providence Hospital, but maintains hospital privileges at Washington Hospital Center.

His special interests in Otolaryngology include

Thyroid and parathyroid surgery, including minimal access parathyroid surgery; image - guided endoscopic sinus surgery with an emphasis on balloon sinuplasties; and snoring/ obstructive sleep apnea management and surgery

Dr. Williams believes in treating each of his patients as he would want to be treated if he was a patient. And, he encourages his patients to fully participate in their care.

 
 
Dr. Williams recently received Washingtonian Magazine's Top Doctors award; an honor for which he was selected by doctors in the Washington, D.C. area who would choose him to treat their own families.

In November, 2009, Dr. Williams visited Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa as part of a 20-member delegation of Otolaryngologists (E.N.T. physicians) from across the United States. The delegation toured local public hospitals, met with other physicians in South Africa’s private and public sectors, and participated in Continuing Medical Education workshops with E.N.T physicians from the University of the Western Cape to share new ideas and information about the latest and best practices in managing the care of patients.
